Research on automatic extraction method and application of the lowest and upper frequency for high-frequency decay parameter of ground motion

采用PAA方法对半对数坐标系下振幅谱分段线性表示,通过计算均值点到直线的距离,实现了高频衰减起止频率的自动化提取。接着以51JYC台站接收的21次“5·12汶川地震”余震记录验证了方法的可行性及有效性。最后,结合不同高频衰减参数κ0,以51JYC为接收台站对2013年芦山MW6.7级地震进行随机地震动模拟。结果表明:不同记录的高频衰减起止频率可能存在较大差异;起止频率取值对κ0值的影响较大;随机模拟结果的地震动峰值加速度、傅里叶谱和反应谱对κ0值极为敏感,受κ0值影响的规律与多名学者研究结果一致。因此,认为自动化提取高频衰减起止频率不仅可以提高工作效率,同时可以降低主观判读对计算结果的影响。这对地震动模拟有一定参考及实用价值。

Abstract:The Piecewise Linear Representation of the amplitude spectrum is introduced using the PAA method in a semi logarithmic coordinate system. The automatic extraction of the lowest and upper frequencies for high-frequency attenuation is achieved by calculating the distance from the mean point to the straight line. Subsequently, the feasibility and effectiveness of the method were verified using 21 aftershock records of the Wenchuan earthquake received by the 51JYC station. Finally, combined with different high-frequency attenuation parameters κ0, stochastic ground motion simulation was conducted for the 2013 Lushan MW6.7 earthquake using 51JYC as the receiving station. The results show that there may be significant differences in the initial and cut-off frequencies of high-frequency attenuation for different records, which has a significant impact on the calculation of the κ0 value. The peak ground acceleration (PGA), Fourier spectrum, and response spectrum of stochastic earthquake motion simulation are extremely sensitive to the κ0. Furthermore, the law of their variation affected by the κ₀ value is consistent with the research results of many scholars, verifying the reliability of our random simulation. Therefore, it is believed that the method proposed in this paper for automatically extracting the initial and cut-off frequencies of high-frequency attenuation intervals can not only improve work efficiency, but also reduce the influence of subjective interpretation on the calculation results. This has certain reference and practical value.
