Study on the 2011 Tengchong MS5.2 Doublet Earthquake Sequence in Yunnan

摘要: 本文利用云南省区域数字化地震监测台网与腾冲火山台网的地震资料,采用双差定位法对2011年腾冲MS5.2双震型地震序列进行了重定位。经过双差重定位,震中空间分布显著收敛,震源深度集中在4~6 km;受龙川江断裂与龙川江水系、深部热液的耦合驱动,地震序列震中沿SE—NW向往复迁移; 结合地震序列的时空迁移特征和断层面解,推断此次地震发震断层为NW137°的隐伏断裂。流体扩散系数0.3703~1.5046 m²/s,支持“破裂—流体扩散—压力积累—再破裂”机制。震源机制一致性分析表明,前震与首个主震序列的S–P到时差集中于4.6~5.1 s,P波初动一致性参数K分别为0.9824 和0.9436,第二个主震序列离散性显著增强(K=0.7272)。研究结果对小滇西地区地震预测与防震减灾具有重要参考价值。

Abstract: This paper uses seismic data from Yunnan Regional Digital Seismic Monitoring Network and Tengchong Volcano Seismic Network, and adopts the double-difference location method to relocate the 2011 Tengchong MS5.2 double-earthquake sequence. After double-difference relocation, the spatial distribution of epicenters converges significantly, and the focal depths are concentrated at 4-6 km. Driven by the coupling of the Longchuan River fault, the Longchuan River water system, and deep hydrothermal fluids, the epicenters of the earthquake sequence migrate reciprocally along the SE-NW direction. Combined with the spatio-temporal migration characteristics of the earthquake sequence and the fault plane solution, it is inferred that the seismogenic fault of this earthquake is a hidden fault with a NW137° strike. The fluid diffusion coefficient is 0.3703~1.5046 m²/s, which supports the "rupture-fluid diffusion-pressure accumulation-re-rupture" mechanism. The analysis of focal mechanism consistency shows that the S-P time differences between the foreshock sequence and the first main shock sequence are concentrated at 4.6-5.1 s, and the P-wave first motion consistency parameters K are 0.9824 and 0.9436 respectively. The discreteness of the second main shock sequence is significantly enhanced (K=0.7272). The research results have important reference value for earthquake prediction and earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation in the western Yunnan region. -
